Overall Momentum Policies

 

SINGLE ADULT AGE GROUPS AND BIBLE CLASSES

Momentum is specifically tailored for Single Adults age 40 and up.  If anyone desires to discuss the implementation of this policy, address your concerns to the elder board.  For those who come to Oak Hills for the first time, we recommend attending class with those your age.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

The Momentum Leadership, the Momentum Events and Activities Team Leader, and the Events and Activities Team Member will be responsible for planning Events and Activities for Momentum.  The planning of the Events will be subject to the approval of the Single Adult Minister and Single Adult Elder.

 ALCOHOL POLICY

Adult beverages are not permitted at ANY event or social activity that is open to all Momentum members.  Anyone observing consumption of alcoholic beverages at Momentum Events should find a Momentum leader and he/she will address the situation.

 

Any private gathering of Momentum people organized by invitation only is subject to your educated understanding of Christian liberty.  We strongly recommend that under no circumstances should anyone be allowed to consume an excessive amount of alcoholic beverages.  Remember your “testimony” in life.

 

 90-DAY POLICY

The 90-day policy is simple.  When visitors and/or members come into Momentum, we invite them to our events, activities, LIFE groups and Sunday morning classes so that friendships are made first (90 days).  Refrain from asking for phone numbers for the purpose of dating and do not ask newcomers for dates for 90 days.  By adhering to this 90 day policy, newcomers have a base of friendships who are available at all times, even when the dating relationships come and go.

 

MOMENTUM MEMBER VITAL INFORMATION DATABASE
 

We strive to protect everyone’s personal contact information on the Momentum/Oak Hills database.  The ministry will not give out any personal information.  If you need a telephone number / email, then e-mail Lynda Rodriguez and she will forward your request to the Momentum member.
